If you choose to place a stop payment at a branch location, please have the following information:

If you choose to place a stop payment on the phone, please be prepared to supply the following information:
We will mail you a Stop Payment form that you must sign and return to First Trade (original document). Stop Payments placed on the phone will lapse after 14 calendar days if you do not confirm your order in writing within that time period. Once confirmed in writing, Stop Payments are extended for 6 months from the date the order was placed.
We are not obligated to notify you when a Stop Payment order expires. If you feel you need to extend beyond the 6 months, or if a verbal Stop Payment order has lapsed, you will need to place a new Stop Payment order.
